Ammar Eloueini Lecture

I really enjoyed Ammar's lecture the other night. The set up of the slides and lecture going throughout the history of his office was a great way to see how he evolved as a designer and how his use of different materials and techniques evolved as well. I was intrigued by the many uses of the polycarbonate and how versatile it is. The use of colors to have it light up and the way it can be taken apart to make it easy to carry and ship were some of the uses I found interesting.
Seeing what he's done has given me a new inspiration for what I would like to do as a designer. Experimenting with things has always been a fascination of mine and now having pepakura at my finger tips opens a broader door. Not only can I make spaces for people, but I can create separate pieces of art to go within them or possibly for the public.
